Styled vs. not styled.
Ugg! Why do babies get to have all the fun?
I've been day dreaming of getting away since my fellow and I booked out tickets for Cape Cod the other day, but it seems like August can't get here fast enough! For now I'll just have to wish it was me in these photos instead of those lucky little kids.
My sisters and I grilled peaches and served them with vanilla bean ice cream and home made whipped cream but they didn't look as amazing as these ones. Tartelette is full of gorgeous food photography and super yummy recipes I can't wait to try!
I've been wanting to make outdoor seating from pallets for a while now, so when I came across a whole pile of them in an alley a few weeks ago I grabbed as many as I could and got to work. Trying to spend as little money as possible, I picked up four dog beds ($10 a piece at Ross), made covers for the dog beds with fabric I scored from St. Vincent's ($5), and plopped them on the pallets (free!)
We've been up there every chance we get, soaking up the sun and drinking ice cold beers! Oh and the garden isn't doing so bad either since we've put a little canopy over it, but I'll do a separate post for that.

Here are some inspiring outdoor spaces that made me want to take advantage of mine.
Honestly am I kidding myself? Can I really make this all by myself? Am I crazy? Justin don't answer that last one.
The weekend before last my friend Maria and I threw a baby shower for our super amazing friends Tina (who is literally about to pop) and Jim. On the menu we had creamy mushroom tartlets with manchego and sage, smoked salmon, creme fraiche and caviar on endive, prosciutto wrapped melon and of course a meat and cheese plate. For drinks we made bellinis and my all time favorite, the namesake drink from The Thirsty Crow. It was super fun and went really well but I'm still exhausted (for truth yo) and will definitely not be throwing any parties for a while...well unless you count my cowboys and Indians party but I'm still not even close to finishing the teepee!

Last Thursday was the Mona Moore party for Rodarte on Abbot Kinney. I went with my lovely family, had tons of fun meeting the sisters behind the line, and ended up on a fashion blog! Had to do a little bragging!
Another pretty little snippet from my main squeeze.
ps. check out the band's website here, and while your at it download their song and tell all your friends too!

West Elm Fall Preview = awesome! I'm especially loving the flat bar storage desk...and bookshelf...and printer caddy. Ok enough from me. Go look for yourself.
I spotted this mid century chair with back cushion covers on Rum and can't wait to grab mine out of storage and do the same thing! I'll definitely post pictures when I do. Woo woo!
