I've been slowly sprucing up the house, changing things around and all that since its been so cold and rainy and I'm stuck inside.  Here are a few of the changes I've made.  I bought this mirror about a month ago and I'm still not sure how I feel about it.  I was looking for something old and mottled with a simple wood frame, this one's definitely got the mottled thing going on but the frame is a bit ornate, not to mention bronze.  It does look pretty nice next to my little bobble head lamb though.
I finally bought a frame for the letterpress print by Jason Munn for the book The Small Stakes Music Posters.  I was pretty excited when I found that the pre-cut matt at Ikea fit the print like a glove.  Woo woo!
And last but not really last cause I've been doing a ton more little home improvements that I will share when they're done...on my trip to Ikea I hit up the As-Is section first (it's kinda my rule) and found out that my unattractive but super comfortable couch is being discontinued so I scored a ton of new covers and pillows for pretty much nothing.  I'm into all the pillows.  Oh yeah, I just wanted to show off my super awesome prism paper weight I picked up at the Pirate Supply Store while up in San Francisco, ta-da!

your blog is lovely and full of goodness, i'm following so as not to miss out on any more.

your home is gorgeous and that mirror is a stellar find; not too ornate at all and adore your bobble-head lamb with it. isn't it the best when art work fits together like your print, matte & frame did, so good. yes and more yes to that awesome prism score!

off to look at more now. ♥

  10. Love the image of this living room. The proportion of the sofa vs. the table vs. the rug give interest with the muted tones. I'm looking for a rug just like this - any sources you could share?
